Joe and Amy Alton

American Survival Radio #67

In this episode of American Survival Radio, Joe and Amy Alton discuss how political the judicial system has become, with circuits courts commonly toeing the liberal line and attempting to disrupt the Trump agenda, and the Supreme Court righting the wrongs of the lower courts. Also, CNN drops to # 13 in a recent week of ratings, when will they realize they’re no longer in the news business, unless it anti-trump news?

Plus, Kate’s law finally is approved by the House, and will go to the Senate, plus bills approved by the House punishing sanctuary cities for not cooperating with the US government. Are we degenerating into a continent of city-states instead of a single country? read more

In The End, Nothing The U.S. Does Will Reverse Climate Change

The first article by conservative writer Bret Stephens at the New York Times was related to climate change. A self-described climate “agnostic”, he admitted that climate change exists, and that humans and fossil fuels have something to do with it. He took issue, however, with the certitude on the part of the scientific community regarding the extent of the effect on society in the future.

This was enough to throw climate-change scientists in particular and progressives in general into a tizzy. Gnashing of teeth, rending of garments, and cancelling of subscriptions ensued. Mr. Stephens was labeled in numerous opposing editorials with various “D” words: “denier”, “disinformer”, “delayer”. At least, they left out “dingbat”. read more

Republicans: Beware of Creating Health Care “Orphans”

(This article by Joe Alton first appeared in the Daily Caller.)

A Republican plan to repeal and replace Obamacare, the American Health Care Act (AHCA), has been proposed and some conservative members of congress are, to put it mildly, not on board.

Kentucky senator Rand Paul calls it “Obamacare Lite”.  Congressman Justin Amash (R, MI) tweets “Obamacare 2.0”. The Freedom Caucus, a group of about three dozen GOP house members, are skeptical and could sink the new plan all by themselves. A number of conservative think tanks are also unhappy with the proposal. read more

American Survival Radio #49

In this episode of American Survival Radio, hosts Joe and Amy Alton,  immigrant riots in the once-peaceful nation of Sweden are inadvertently predicted by President Trump in a  Florida rally. Lambasted in the press for the “error” in suggesting things were going south in Sweden, he was proved correct when migrant-incited riots broke out the next day. Plus, is there anything that can be done to stop the running feud between the president and Senator John McCain? At a recent speech to European leaders, Sen. McCain stated that the first step to dictatorship is the suppression of a free press, something that seemed like a veiled reference to Donald Trump’s recent battles with the media. read more

Protests and the Popular Vote

Donald Trump is our next president and the day after the election, several cities had protests that held up traffic and caused disruption of some services. Many of the participants in the protests were disappointed first-time voters who chose Hillary Clinton as their champion. Of these first time voters, the majority were likely in the millennial/college student demographic.

One news outlets interviewed a young Chicago resident named Michael Burke, who said he believes the president-elect will “divide the country and stir up hatred.” Of course, he was saying that as he was trying to divide the country and stir up hatred. He added something to the effect that he had a constitutional duty to be there. In other words, he had a constitutional duty to protest for the ouster of the constitutionally-elected president. read more

Fruits of Socialism in Venezuela: No Fruit (or Anything Else You Can Eat)

A while ago, I called for the cancellation of the Summer Olympics in Brazil due to the Zika epidemic. since then,  all sorts of other evidence has arisen that the country is in chaos politically and economically. Certainly, no country in South America is in more trouble than Brazil, right?

Wrong. There’s our good friend Venezuela. You know, the one that called  our president “El Diablo” (The Devil)?

Once a wealthy and modern nation, a popular socialist movement (think Bernie Sanders on steroids) led by Hugo Chavez led to Venezuela’s transformation into, well, Cuba. Despite this dubious plan for future prosperity, Chavez remained popular until his death in 2013, and was replaced by his hand-picked successor, Nicolas Maduro. read more

American Survival Radio No. 13

In this episode of Joe and Amy Alton‘s American Survival Radio , A gunman declaring loyalty to ISIS inflicts more than 100 casualties at an Orlando gay nightclub. Joe Alton discusses how his “success” creates a perfect blueprint for massacres to come, and tells you what to do if you find yourself unarmed and in the middle of a similar event.  Also, President Obama plans to surrender supervision of the internet from the U.S. to some shadowy, global conglomerate of nations. Good idea. The Altons have their opinion, and they’re not afraid to voice it. read more

Cancel or Move the Olympics

A letter signed by 150 doctors and scientists has called for the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro to be moved or delayed due to the Zika virus. Rio is in the heart of the current epidemic.

Calling inaction “irresponsible” and “unethical”, the letter suggests that the Zika virus in Brazil is acting differently than it has in other areas, something I suggested may relate to a mutation in a recent article.

So make it 151 doctors and scientists. In my opinion, sending a half million tourists, not to mention athletes, to the  epicenter of a raging epidemic is, to say least, a bad idea. They’ll come from 170 different countries, get bitten by mosquitoes in Brazil, and head back home to have local mosquitoes spread the poorly-understood virus throughout the world. read more
