American Survival Radio #66

In this episode of American Survival Radio, Joe and Amy Alton inquire why the shooting of Republican congressman Steve Scalise is classified by the FBI as “workplace violence” and not domestic terrorism? Are we so scared of calling these events for what they are the same as President Obama’s reluctance to say “Islamic Terrorism”? Plus, President Trump finally put VA reform on the table, fulfilling another of his campaign promises.

Also, Baltimore police departments are experiencing a major manpower shortage, and the Altons aren’t the least surprised. All this and a lot more on American Survival Radio #66! read more

American Survival Radio #65

In the episode of American Survival Radio, Joe and Amy Alton discuss the open season on Republicans and conservatives, leading to the collection of scalps on the part of the media, and actual physical violence in the form of an attack on congressman practicing for a traditional baseball game in Alexandria, VA. Has the Left accomplished its mission of finally causing deranged followers to follow through on threats against those on the Right?

Also, Otto Warmbier, the student detained in North Korea due to some minor vandalism, comes home, essentially, in a box. How did he end up in a coma? What should the U.S. response be? Plus, the president reverses many of Barack Obama’s Cuba policies, to the delight of many exiles living in the U.S. read more

Stop the Open Season on Republicans

(This article first appeared in the Daily Caller.)

In Washington, D.C., where character assassination is a popular blood sport, actual assassination may become part of the New Normal in American politics.

Louisiana congressman Steve Scalise (R) and several more have become the latest casualties as the war against conservatives escalates in the ugliest way possible. Rep. Scalise and other Republican politicians, including Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky, were practicing in Alexandria, Virginia, for the annual House-Senate baseball game when a lone gunman opened fire. Scalise was hit in the hip, landing him in the operating room in critical condition. read more

The New Battle of Britain

The Battle of Britain was a 1940 military air campaign of the Second World War in which the Luftwaffe (German Air Force) tried to bomb England into submission. Lasting months, the Royal Air Force eventually defeated the Germans, thus keeping the British in the war and preventing the collapse of the allied war effort.

Now, there is a new Battle of Britain. The nation has been under assault recently from terror attacks by Islamic jihadists. The most recent include attacks killing 7 and wounding 80 at Borough Market and London Bridge. At London Bridge, a vehicle rammed into pedestrians, with men emerging afterwards to stab more innocent victims. This new event comes hard on the heels of a suicide bombing of an Ariana Grande concert in Manchester, where 23 adults were killed and more than 100 injured. (at the time of this writing, the attack at Finsbury Park had not yet occurred). read more

Also. historical monuments are coming down at a rapid pace, with confederate memorials taking the worst hit, but even anti-confederate Sam Houston of Texas may be on his way out due to pressure from the Left. The Vehicle as Terror Weapon

Vehicles as Terror Weapons

In these days of Pokemon Go and other smartphone distractions, you’re seeing more and more people oblivious of their surroundings. In the past, this might get you a bump on the head by walking into a lamp post. In today’s world, however, it could cost you your life.

As an Anglophile, I have often visited London and walked from my hotel to parliament and other sites via the Westminster bridge. Today, on the anniversary of the terrorist attack in Belgium, someone used a vehicle to mow down pedestrians on the bridge and then, apparently, left the car to continue a rampage that has left a number of casualties in its wake. read more

Dilbert’s Creator Stopped Donating To His College; You Should Too

(This article by Joe Alton first appeared in The Daily Caller)

—————–

Dilbert creator Scott Adams announced on his blog recently that he will stop donating to his alma mater, the University of California at Berkeley. Maybe it’s time for you to do the same.

Mr. Adams stated “…I’m ending my support of UC Berkeley, where I got my MBA years ago. I have been a big supporter lately, with both my time and money, but that ends today. I wish them well, but I wouldn’t feel safe or welcome on the campus. A Berkeley professor made that clear to me recently. He seems smart, so I’ll take his word for it.” read more

Violent Protests: What You Should Know About Black Blocs

This article by Joe Alton first appears in the Daily Caller:

The United States is dedicated to the right of free speech. Peaceful demonstrations in the past have served as catalysts for social change, such as civil rights legislation. The nation, however, was shocked by the violence perpetrated in the protest against Milo Yiannopoulos’ scheduled speech at UC-Berkeley.

The violence was not inflicted by the majority of attendees, who were mostly peaceful despite strong (and misguided) feelings about the proposed speaker. Instead, a cadre of black-clad, masked guerillas worked in an organized fashion to cause as much mayhem as possible. They set fires, smashed windows, and assaulted those of opposing viewpoints. This paramilitary group is the black bloc. read more
