The Left’s Antifa-Da Against America

(Note: This article by Joe Alton first appeared in the Daily Caller)

In years past, you have read stories of the Palestinian’s “Intifada” against Israelis. Intifada is an Arabic word whose meaning is “rebellion” or “resistance”. This resistance often takes the form of violent action, such as the “knife intifada” of 2015 that consisted of stabbing attacks on citizens in Israel.

In America today, we are in the midst of resistance as well, and it’s also often violent. Instead of anti-fascists, or “Antifa”. I call them fascists because they use similar tactics to their 20th century predecessors. The Antifas are a minority, but they want the majority to bow to their will. They attempt to convince Americans that anyone that doesn’t adhere to their ideology is wrong-headed and dangerous. They are willing to use methods like false news and violence to silence certain groups (in this case, conservatives). read more

The Vehicle as Terror Weapon

Vehicles as Terror Weapons

In these days of Pokemon Go and other smartphone distractions, you’re seeing more and more people oblivious of their surroundings. In the past, this might get you a bump on the head by walking into a lamp post. In today’s world, however, it could cost you your life.

As an Anglophile, I have often visited London and walked from my hotel to parliament and other sites via the Westminster bridge. Today, on the anniversary of the terrorist attack in Belgium, someone used a vehicle to mow down pedestrians on the bridge and then, apparently, left the car to continue a rampage that has left a number of casualties in its wake. read more

American Survival Radio #52

In this episode of American Survival Radio, (march 18, 2017) hosts Joe and Amy Alton wonders if there will ever be hope for anyone who doesn’t follow the standard ultra-left philosophy on today’s campuses. Is there hope for the heterodox, in other words, those who would fight the orthodoxy of viewpoints on campus. Some professors are going out on a limb by joining The Heterodox Academy, a group of academics that espouses, we’re not kidding, free speech!

Also, the 9th Circuit Court of Appeals is having a grand old time overturning the entire Trump agenda. Now some are calling to split the 9th Circuit, far and away the largest territory for any Court of Appeals into two separate divisions. I thing you can guess who’s for it and who’s against it, besides the judges themselves. read more

American Survival Radio #50

In this episode of American Survival Radio, hosts Joe and Amy Alton discuss the hype around Attorney General Jeff Sessions and a meeting with the Russian Ambassador, who after Gen. Mike Flynn, seems to get around a lot. Why Jeff Sessions shouldn’t quit despite the Left’s demands (heck, they’re demanding every conservative quit just on general principal). Plus Rand Paul’s not happy with Obamacare, and why are Republicans having town halls in person, since they seem to become nothing but town brawls? read more

7 Reasons to End Republican Town “Brawls”

During recesses, senators and congressmen commonly have open meetings with their constituents. Such events are a way for elected officials to show their willingness to hear from voters on a myriad of topics. Since colonial times, these forums have been called “town halls”; lately, however, they have been more like “Town Brawls”.

Historically, admission to town halls has been open to all. They serve as opportunities for those with opposing views to sit down with politicians and have a civil conversation. Today’s Republican Town Brawls are nothing like that; they have been reduced to a turkey shoot for hyperventilating Leftists. read more

Sweden Is In A Welfare State of Delusion

(This article by Joe Alton first appeared in The Daily Caller)

President Donald Trump caused a ruckus recently when he mentioned “what happened in Sweden last night”. Despite no unrest actually reported, he’s been proven inadvertently clairvoyant as the country erupted in immigrant riots shortly thereafter.

The Swedish prime minister had publicly scratched his head over President Trump’s remarks, which weren’t referencing an actual incident, but a Fox News story about the deteriorating situation there. Of course, the media’s tendency to take Trump’s every word literally resulted in a firestorm of criticism. Now there are actual firestorms in Stockholm’s suburb of Rinkeby and other areas in the Nordic nation. read more

Dilbert’s Creator Stopped Donating To His College; You Should Too

(This article by Joe Alton first appeared in The Daily Caller)

Dilbert creator Scott Adams announced on his blog recently that he will stop donating to his alma mater, the University of California at Berkeley. Maybe it’s time for you to do the same.

Mr. Adams stated “…I’m ending my support of UC Berkeley, where I got my MBA years ago. I have been a big supporter lately, with both my time and money, but that ends today. I wish them well, but I wouldn’t feel safe or welcome on the campus. A Berkeley professor made that clear to me recently. He seems smart, so I’ll take his word for it.” read more

Violent Protests: What You Should Know About Black Blocs

This article by Joe Alton first appears in the Daily Caller:

The United States is dedicated to the right of free speech. Peaceful demonstrations in the past have served as catalysts for social change, such as civil rights legislation. The nation, however, was shocked by the violence perpetrated in the protest against Milo Yiannopoulos’ scheduled speech at UC-Berkeley.

The violence was not inflicted by the majority of attendees, who were mostly peaceful despite strong (and misguided) feelings about the proposed speaker. Instead, a cadre of black-clad, masked guerillas worked in an organized fashion to cause as much mayhem as possible. They set fires, smashed windows, and assaulted those of opposing viewpoints. This paramilitary group is the black bloc. read more

Berkeley: Birthplace of Free Speech…Intolerance

Note: This article by Joe Alton was originally published in the Daily Caller.

The University of California at Berkeley proudly labels itself as the birthplace of the Free Speech Movement of the 1960s. Now it can also claim the title of Birthplace of Free Speech Intolerance.

Milo Yiannopoulos, self-described “provocateur,” was scheduled to speak to a group of Young Republicans at the university on Wednesday. Shortly before the event, a crowd of Berkeley students, teachers, and outsiders gathered at the venue. They were there to express their objection to his right to voice his opinion, and it got ugly very quickly. read more

American Survival Radio #47

In this episode of American Survival Radio, your hosts Joe and Amy Alton examine the history and tactics of the masked, black-clad ninjas known as the Black Bloc. Responsible for the damage and assaults on Berkeley’s campus recently, the lack of response to their actions is sure to swell their ranks.

Also, Dilbert creator Scott Adams, a UC-Berkeley alum, announces that he will stop donating to the college due to its extreme and violent tendencies towards conservatives (he’s not a Republican, btw). Is it time for you to do the same, asks Joe Alton. read more
